MedBiquitous: Visioning Meeting Update

On September 26, 2019, the MedBiquitous program team convened with a cross-section of international stakeholders in the MedBiquitous community for a Visioning Meeting at the AAMC Headquarters in Washington, DC.

Attendees from professional healthcare associations, universities, government, and commercial organizations collaborated in a day-long retreat to begin setting a vision and a roadmap for the next chapter of MedBiquitous. No longer an LLC within a single institution, but now a program within the medical education mission area of the AAMC, attendees deliberated on questions addressing the future of education data standards and how the MedBiquitous program should position itself to support the entire breadth of the health professions community.

The day’s event effectively captured ideas, concerns, and the collective insight of community members’ experience in the realm of health professions education. Currently, we are in the process of analyzing the valuable feedback gathered in order to identify common themes for the vision and roadmap ahead. Once complete, our goal is to share this information with the larger MedBiquitous community.

Thank you for your ongoing support during this process. Please continue visiting our different communication channels for up-to-date announcements.
